Tips, being contracted to the council, I wouldn't be surprised if they made a charge for leaving your battery there Jim

True, it's remarkable they don't but maybe it's because all of ours are run by totters on behalf of the council and rake in a lot of salvage money from the good stuff that gets chucked...

Half-way through swapping my seats.. Come in to warm my hands before swapping the seatbelt tensioner connectors over which needs some fine soldering - I lost all feeling in them due to the damp cold... Bloody Reynauld's

It works a treat for me Davie Gosh it's been bitter out today despite the actual temperature no being that low really. The damp in the air just makes it feel so raw...

Still, good progress today...

Gabriel's new front leather seats are now in Not a good picture due to the state of the day...



The rat (of Rattiva fame) likes them and I have to smile how my Activa got in on the act

Rear seats are not in as I'm still investigating the leak. Looks now as if it's coming in overhead... Spotted a wet headlining and runs down from the tops of the C pillars...

The culprit may well be the damaged rear window washer jet on the roof. I've covered it up now to see if the water now stays away...

This might be the guilty party...



I know now it's not a wheelarch seam as a good bit of water got in during the night when the car was parked up and Angus paid a wet visit... My reasoning being that a wheelarch seam would only show up when moving and splashing water off the tyres...

She has my empathy Dave... My fingers go chalky-white and I loose all feeling in them. It can take 20 minutes or more for any feeling to return

I get it a lot when riding the bike on cold days and trying to type and use a mouse when I arrive at work after biking in is hilarious... It's like I have bunches of bananas on the ends of my arms

It's why I've taken so much trouble to try and find a decent pair of winter bike gloves... Think I've now succeeded.. My latest pair seem to work I bought them based on glowing reviews and for the price they jolly well ought too work well!!!

And it's why my glove box does actually contain a nice warm pair of gloves I reckon it's possibly the only glove box on the planet that does contain gloves!!!

I even run in gloves

I feel the cold so much nowadays. I do blame all my days as a fisherman for that and my physical health problems now. Didn't think about it when I was doing it in my 20's and 30's. All that mattered was big money and a lavish lifestyle. Totally the opposite now. Happy in a humble house, a 10 year old daily car and a 20 year old toy car lol. And no wife spending the little money I do get [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23]

Thanks James, well spotted At that price they're well worth a punt Only thing I wonder if they have enough dexterity to be good for biking...

The problem is with bike gloves is they have to be thin and flexible enough to operate the [gear] shifters and the brakes whilst keeping out the cold... A very tough call indeed...

Go too thick on the fingers and the ability to shift gears and brake accurately becomes very compromised...

I do not know if they are thin enough, Jim, but I can see that the palms and fingers have a 'grippy' surface to help.
