Robyn will want it back then... The insurance might be a problem though...

Here's Gabriel in Somerset yesterday..

And here she is home again with me in my new running gear...

I'm running a charity 5K on Sunday morning to raise money for our local Hospice - the one I do the vast majority of my charity events for - and thought it was about time I got some proper kit...

That running top is a size S and too big... I need an XS...

As long as one has decaff in in James ;)

Should all be done by the time I get back from this evening's karate training then :)

Bung the running gear through the wash on too hot a setting. It should then shrink to fit.

Problem with the tea. Somebody keeps adding rum to it, to remove the caffeine!

Theres been some recalls for 207s cutting out over the years Jim. They all focus on the Battery earth return cables being incorrect either in length, spec or fitting. Probably worth a little look before going into any diagnostics.

Also there is this one which is too much to type right now.

Recall Ref: R/2011/167
Exact Model: 207
Description: ENGINE MAY CUT OUT
VIN: VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]******AW091545 to VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]******BW064194
Build Date: 1 Sep 2010 to 6 Oct 2011
Numbers: 105
Defect: The use of incorrect torque wrenches for tightening a terminal, may have damaged internal components in the Engine Electrical Power Supply Management Unit (BSM). This could result in the engine cutting out.
Action: Recall all the affected vehicles and replace the engine BSM unit.
Launch Date: 15 December 2011

The bigger problem is that I recognise the rum. It is Lambs' Navy Rum. I have to keep chucking the tea away, as I have work tomorrow, so I cannot drink any alcohol, as I will be driving. If I were to phone in drunk I would have my manager on the phone, and if I were to drive drunk I would lose my licence.

The biggest problem is that I have not caught any of the Lambs' Navy delectable recruits doing this. If I did, I would take a chance on phoning in sick tomorrow, from exhaustion! :-D

Thanks James but already checked that when it first started doing it a while back...

Plus Robyn's is a much earlier build. Hers is a 2007 model...

I reckon a new BSI (BSM) may be the only solution... I may take it to bits and look for bad (dry) joints and other issues when I have some time...

Bet a new BSI costs a fortune :(

:(
The BSI & BSM are two different things. The BSI is the body control module inside the car, the BSM is the under bonnet fuse box, The BSM also integrates the old 'double' relay function too.
Cant imagine that a BSI would cause the car to cut out but the BSM certainly could, The good news is the BSM is not a coded part.

The problem is that I cannot drink either, due to the amount of driving I do. I would consider storing it until Tuesday/Wednesday (my days off), but cold milky alcoholic tea won't keep, so it is going to waste!

Post up the VIN Jim, I'll find the part no and the price for the BSM - looks like 3 different parts, from £90 to £230....

Erm, the alcohol would prevent it freezing, wouldn't it? I would also have to use the landlords' freezer (as I don't have one), and he does enjoy an occasional good drink!
