It is not the cars, it is who drives them ....both old and new BMW/AUDI etal fall into "certain demographic groups" which you end up being linked with thus getting yourself either hassled from behind, ignored at junctions or raced by "slammed" 306's.

I will stick with "old man's cars" for those reasons alone thanks. (little do they know)

Yep, an old left hooker citroen showing them up. I like that too!
With bmw it's more the 3 series that has the reputation. A 5 tourer wouldn't be so bad a reputation. And a tweak here and there and a proper remap, not a cheapo ebay box of s**t, and it would surprise a few things. Leave it bog standard outside. I don't suppose that itch will get scratched rough.

And I will be firmly sticking with what I have :D

Davie, no, it wasn’t one of my daughters.... I shouldn't admit this but I was at work at the time... I was working, a colleague was working doing something else....

Fantastic run down to Somerset and back yesterday with my girls to see Dad... The Activa was just about brilliant and so good to have a nice, reliable blower now. With yesterday's rainy weather it was absolutely essential...

Every time I drive my Activa now I love it even more and it beats any BMW any day ;) No way would I ever swap it for anything, especially a BMW!

I wonder how they would be driving it?
Have to say that driving your Activa was quite an experience and something way beyond my expectations.

Robyn has driven it once Steve and she found it too big at the time but now I think she'd love it...

I must let he have another drive of it before too long...

Both it and the C1 are likely to do fewer miles in 2016... I'm now riding my bike to work on every occasion when the weather permits...

I used to be a biker back 25 years ago and my last one was a Suzuki GT550 Triple, a lovely bike but these days a very keen cyclist...

In fact I do more miles on the bikes than I do in the cars these days...

i traded my 81 kawasaki kz650 for a VW 412, i still wonder what the fudge i was thinking .. the 412 is long gone too.
Still got a Kawasaki GPZ 750, an 1987. Hoping of one day turning it into something nice looking. (NOT a cafe racer)

How do you like the C1 VT btw ? I sold my C2 VTR this summer. Great little car. Lowered on low profiles and changed every little bushing and what not. Saved it from a girlfriend for the price of scrap. Wife and kids loved it too, but it had to go as the C8 is the daily driver and we could not afford another road tax.

I absolutely love my C1... A huge fan of it... I've made plenty of comments about it on here but overall, as a small city car for local running around it is not far off perfect!
