That's a much better excuse for not washing a car than mine Steve

I do know what you mean though, there's always something that needs doing however hard you try to keep things under control...

Next week it is for both of us...

Maybe Jim - now I have new lights and a switch to fit in the bathroom for her.

And she's just had to have a new boiler, last Monday, two weeks after having solar panels installed and a month after having a new washing machine to buy.
Manager to repair her tumble dryer, cooker and dishwasher.

Don't even know where our nearest is

It'll be Halfrauds or on-line... I need to visit Halfrauds or the Go Outdoors shop next door for some winter waterproof biking gear anyway so that'll be an ideal time to look for the necessary cleaning tackle..

Fixed a little issue on the Activa this afternoon... I'd noticed a slightly sticky idle control valve recently that causes the idle to sit a bit high on occasions and was worried it might cause a few issues with the MOT emissions check.... Although the valve is hard to remove without a lot of disassembly I managed to get some lube into it by slipping off the boost sense pipe directly opposite it and spraying some WD40 into it via the boost sense spigot...

A few cycles of the idle control valve actuator test on the ELIT got it working nicely and a decent engine test seems to indicate all is good...

Also happy to see the oxygen sensor cycling nicely...

I need to get me one of these but after researching, seems they're not all made equal. Some have multi-leds, others have singular led, some skimp on driver (10w driver powering a 20w led) and then there's the rechargeable battery to consider. All clear as mud to me at the moment. Is 10W adequate or should I seek higher power?

Mike, this is the one I have

http://cpc.farnell.com/unbranded/ledrcf ... dp/LA05185

It's a multiple LED array and shockingly bright... Battery lasts well too... For the price it's not at all bad really... I'm happy.

They also do a 20w one too

http://cpc.farnell.com/eterna/ledrcf20/ ... dp/LA05641

Although they say the 10w is unbranded it is in fact an Eterna, the same as the 20w version...

Specs look similar ... only difference i can see is on number of batteries supplied on the 20w (4 v 2). Is it purely down to recharge speed (10w taking longer) or am i missing something?

You'll have to bring her over one of the days Jim! No shortage of cleaning supplies here (my garage looks like an Autoglym advert I reckon...), and that's one of the things I really quite enjoy doing.

Spent seven or eight years of Saturdays valeting the rolling stock at the car dealership I used to work at, so have a pretty good system worked out generally!
Current fleet:
07 Volvo V70 SE D5, 88 Renault 25 Monaco, 85 Sinclair C5, 84 Trabant 601S, 75 Rover 3500, 73 AC Model 70.
