I've been rough for 24 hours so far Mike. It struck me at around this time yesterday and I'm not yet feeling too wonderful although better than I did this time yesterday. I'm hoping tomorrow morning after a good sleep I'll be much better...

Mike, you were right :-D I started feeling better yesterday and today I'm pretty much back to normal. I'll be off to karate this morning :-D

Then I'm out to lunch with Robyn at a sushi bar in Milton Keynes and then I'd better start catching up on all I've not got done this weekend

:-D Normal in the physical sense only Malcolm. Mentally it's a different matter. Dysfunctional as normal I think so I suppose I am all back to normal :)

Gave that up years ago :rofl2:

It's been a lovely day today. Lunch with Robyn and Greg was really great and the sushi was delicious 8-) Once you get over the basic fact you're eating raw fish you can then appreciate it and really enjoy it.

Glad you're better Jim.

Sam loves sushi! He's got a little Japanese friend who he's known most of his life and he's eaten it many times.

I'm just not a fan of fish.

I'm partial to a nice bit of haddock from the chippy, as long as it's done fresh (which Haddock usually is, because no one orders it!). Other than that, deep-fried fresh prawns eaten by the sea in Colombia washed down with the curious local "cocktail" of Colombiana - a soft drink which tastes EXACTLY like Irn-Bru, mixed 50/50 with the local lager are very nice. You can keep all other water-borne creatures though!

Irn-Bru tastes exactly the same as Colombiana, so much so that the Colombians here in the UK drink it and use it for their weird "cocktail". Think of it as "Irn Bru lager shandy". Sounds utterly vile, but is actually very nice, and even makes lager drinkable when not freezing cold.

Mike if no one orders it doesn't that mean it might have been in stock for a loong time?

Well, not as many people order it then. I know the fish man delivers daily there, I imagine they know how much to order by now.. and even if it had it still tastes better than a cod that could have sat in the warm cabinet for 1/2 hour or so rather than cooked fresh :-)

You know, all this talk of fish really makes me fancy some proper chippe fish 'n' chips. Not had any for ages...

You've left it behind out of necessity, I thought? Gratifying food, fried stuff, but it's heavy and makes one moody...

You're quite right on all counts Adam :-D But then a little of what you fancy every now and again never hurts..

Can't indulge yet though. I've put on a whole Kg during the time I was feeling rough and I was distinctly below par in the pool and on the cross-trainer this morning

I weighed 64.5Kg this morning

most the chippies round here are so intermittent on the quality of what they flog it put one off buying from them,

our local Morrisons cafe must have had a change of cook/chef in recent months, as there battered cod and chips are done exactly as there spozd to be, absaloutly melt in the mouth,
