Maybe, but it keeps the miles off, saves me loads of money and helps me get fit so really it's win, win, win all the way :-D

I still drive all of my cars enough to enjoy them. I'm not up to walking to work yet and it's jolly hard to do a weeks' shopping on foot!

Took the Activa out for a spin today as it's not moved for a couple of weeks. I shall soon be laying it up for winter and it won't then move until the weather is once again nice and warm...

Seems the new exercise routine is working for you Jim. :)
CitroJim wrote:I shall soon be laying it up for winter and it won't then move until the weather is once again nice and warm...
This is my plan too Jim, the Activa is to be rested over winter and keep it away from the dreaded salt. In fact, mine has been off the road as of the first of this month. This made sense at the time as all of my car are due their tax all at once, pretty much. However, I said the same thing last year and I could only go for a month without driving it, so I re-taxed it

You might well be waiting a while for the weather to be nice and warm again though ...

Ohh, I don't know Chris, get that thing that happens toward the end of December out of the way and spring and the X rally will be upon us before we can say 'Blimey, that was a chilly winter!'

Another busy and manic week ends and I'm still here feeling quite chirpy and chipper. It's looking good :-D

It must be the swimming that's doing it...

I've started well at my aim to read and post on both forums at least once a day, even today where I've just popped home from work for a breather before returning and working on late into this evening or more likely night.

I'm also likely to be working tomorrow morning as well..

It's a stiff test and if I post on Sunday we'll know I've passed it...

Watch this space.

I sincerely hope not Mike :(

Finished work at 11 last night and will be going back in later today...

Hopefully not for long. I'm still reasonably lively after all of that and that's good..

Going to seriously need to rest later today and tomorrow though...

Already made a loaf of bread this morning..

Going off topic somewhat and speaking of the XM, I took it to work last night and on previous trips out I've been noticing my LH display loose ever more lines until it was more or less unreadable. Last night almost all lines are good and the best it's ever been :o

Explain that one...

I'm still here, still good and still going well. Making a batch of marmalade this morning. First time so it's a bit of an experiment.

Yesterday was mostly work and then serious rest. Seems to have worked :D

Must go and check the cars later.

If the weather round here is anything to go by, you might need a dinghy to get to them!

Yes, it has turned out a bit damp :)

Marmalade turned out excellently. Compared to shop-bought stuff there's no contest. Mine just tastes of oranges and nothing else.

I've had an entire morning of cooking, starting off with a wholemeal cob I was kneading the dough for at 05:00, the aforementioned marmalade, a big hearty beef stew that’ll last a few days and finally a fruitcake...

Not a bad effort. No more cooking now until Wednesday when Robyn has requested a moussaka for dinner...

Hopefully the weather will allow me to play at least a bit of car this afternoon [-o<

When I was at the launderette earlier, somebody commented that the weather was a bit unsettled. My comment was "If I were that unsettled I would be locked up!". I wish I knew where I got that one from!
