That sounds nice, but I fear it would be too sickly. Try eating 4 Milky bars, it will have a similar effect.

Let us know what happens :-)

<waits for Chris to say he loves eating 4 milkybars at a time>

I used to love Caramac. Is is still about? I still love white chocolate too.

I do find this high-proof stuff lovely too. Basically, if it's chocolate I love it :P

Bit of brilliant news today - Siany has passed her driving test first go after just four and a bit months of driving and with NO formal lessons =D> =D> =D> :-D :-D :-D :-D

Her mum is an ex-instructor and now an examiner so I guess that makes a difference along with the nearly 2,000 miles she did learning with family sitting with her . She did not conduct Siany's test though, there's a law against that; it was conducted by her boss... Sainy scored just seven minors..

I'm just a little pleased and proud!

Thanks both, just in case anyone is not sure who Siany is, she's my 17 year old youngest daughter and now solo pilot of a Nissan Pixo...

Congratulations for Siany

There apparently wasn't such a law in New Zealand when I did my motorcycle practical test.... I was tested by my brother. Passed first time too.

Years ago, my dad was chief examiner for some automotive trade exams, and one year he was asked to examine a candidate, who turned out to be himself! He pointed out the situation to the exam board, and they just sent him the certificate.

Congratulations to Siany, Jim.

Caramac is still available AFAIK. They were flogging it in ASDA quite recently.

Bulk buy £20 for four dozen bars.

No! She's already filled it once out of her own pocket... She works part-tie in a shoe shop so she's a little financially independent :)

Got a puncture going to work today. Thought the steering felt a bit funny and when I got to work I found a big screw in one of the fronts. A not badly worn Michelin Energy as well :(

I was relieved to find the spare was serviceable and the jack was all present and correct - Thanks Mike

I changed the wheel and that that absolutely did for me. Went back to the office and declared I was wrecked and going home. I then got a telling off for not asking for help... I'm not very used to asking for help yet and that's going to take a bit of getting used to

With the steelie spare on the car felt awful.. Anyway, dropped the wheel off at my local tyre place and they repaired the puncture at a total cost of nil =D> Great service I get from them but then I am a regular I guess...

First puncture for years. It happened going through the magic barriers at the entrance to our works. They're not reliable and yesterday I noted they were being attended to (yet again) by a gaggle of oily rags in tranny vans. I guess one of those carelessly dropped a few screws as I was not the only one to suffer a puncture this morning

The MAP sensor fault has returned on New Old V6. It manifested itself in a very strange way yesterday morning too. The engine was a bit reluctant to fire up and when she did she idled very slowly. No normal cold fast idle...

Anyway, set off for work and the gear selection was all over the place. Very reluctant to change gear and would not change into top unless snow mode was engaged :? Any changes the 'box decided to make were ragged..

Came home from work and not a problem - everything back to normal :? :? She drove perfectly... Lexia confirmed a recurrence of a fault on the MAP sensor. It must be a wiring fault as it's speaking of shorts. Today I'll check and see if I can nail it. First though I going to give both V6s a wash whilst it's cool damp and dull outside...

Then, if I have any energy left I shall continue with some gentle tidying of the workshop.

Don't ignore the possibility of another faulty MAP sensor! At least it can still get you home.
I can't recall any trauma to the engine harness.

Jim would you be taking your lexia to the Cxm ? If so I was wondering if it would plug into the Zx just to see if it throws anything up .

Re the map sensor the plug looked in good order but the wiring is obviously round the back of the engine so easily touched while lifting the engine.... Was it short to earth?

There will be plenty of lexias about at cxm don't worry :)
