Done it Jim, lights are better, but dark country road, on-coming traffic, wet....still crap with bugger all penetration, dreadful things.

I put some rally lamps on my BX16TRS. Raydot Fireballs to b be precise and with those switched on, I could see into the future!

I soppose I will soon find out how poor xantia lights are. My 107 are ok, but nothing special, the 205 headlights are fantastic! No fancy styled narrow stupid shaped lights, just big square lights with halfords super brilliance bulbs in them, and correctly adjusted. The problem with extra spotlights is they may improve main beam, but no help on dip at all, where your lights are on most of the time.

I'm not 100% impressed with my C1 lights either Davie...
I you think Xantia lights are bad then try XM lights... Real Toc-H lamps those and in truth I've seen brighter glow-worms...

Re: The Citroen "cool picture" thread
Ay up!
I never had a problem with Xantia headlights, at least not after making new bottom mountings from sheet brass. Before discovering this, I found the main beam gave a similar pattern to what I Would expect on dip. Dip beam? Least said soonest mended!
Once I fixed the lower mountings, penetration was better than on the BX. The mountings are very thin, fragile bits of plastic on the lower mouldings that go brittle quickly, I would think reinforcing existing mouldings would be easier than fixing broken ones. I also found just Araldite gave a short term repair so I needed to reinforce the patch with some panel pins or similar. Self tappers should also work.

My mounts are not broken and the headlamps are aligned (by the garage laser machine thingie).
Got some Al sheet yesterday and a template made in card ready for modification.
The soft vacuum applied reflective surface does not help them that's for sure...NEVER Touch it !...EVER

I love that picture of the old petrol pumps with a 2CV behind... That's worthy of a Microsoft Bing or Windows 10 background picture...
Those lowered 2CVs I'm not so sure about....

Re: The Citroen "cool picture" thread
I think it might be a Dyane behind the pumps. I like them high and low - but it needs to be on air so it is still functional. (or you could do hydraulics
)
