I don't remember when I last saw an R16! most cars are hatchbacks now, but then they were saloons or estates!

What are the brass tube thing at the back?
I keep meaning to look it up. Did ask my son some time back, he used to be a gunner (I thought he had a sub-machine gun. It was a one of these:

Shells for the barrel on top, except for the top left shell, which must be for the driver (this is Burgundy)
