Water in Footwell of Picasso

Post by JT »

We use a Picasso for transporting the kids around, it is a '03 model.
In the rear footwell there are two storage areas, one on each side of the car. ( In the floor )
The other day our son lifted the flap on on of these to put some toys in, and discovered there was about an inch of water in the bottom of the compartment.
The water was quite clean, which would suggest that it did not come from water on the road.
We have had quite an amount of rain recently so I am wondering if it is coming in through a door seal.
Any Ideas???

Is there a sunroof? Might be a clogged or detached drain leaking into the car.
You could try hosing or jetwashing the car with an observer inside.

Door membraines leaking is the most likely cause.
