Thanks for your input, but I think I will stick with the lhd, I can only say it's a joy to drive in France, and around where I am there does not seem to be a lot of car theft, must be a dodgy area you live in?
The motorway badge is a good idea with a rhd but once we get out to France permanently I do not foresee much motorway driving, no doubt you drive back to the UK often.
