Activa front towing eye position?

Activa front towing eye position?

I've just discovered where Citroen hid the removable loop bolt-on towing eye
bracket under the bonnet but can't see where it's supposed to thread in on
the front! Clever and neat and all that, it's taken me months to notice it!! :D

Maybe I AM blind, as I don't see any bumper plug/cover that would reveal
a mounting for it onto the front crossmemeber/bumper etc to allow
rescue towing/pulling etc...

Anybody know the answer to this potentially Activa specific anomally!? :roll:

Andrew,

I can only comment on the facelift Activa but mine has a little removable flap below and to the right of the offside foglamp.

I agree, It's hard to spot :wink:

On the Activa I had which was N reg, the loop screwed into a bracket under the front bumper on the driver's side. That's vertically below the front bumper, not under as in underneath a flap.

The threaded hole was slightly corroded when I tried it so I used a bolt to clean it out and then fitted a stainless steel bolt to keep it protected until I need it again.

I used it once when I ran out of petrol and was recovered by a GreenFlag flat bed truck.

Thanks. I'll have another grovel around at the front in better light
- it's a S1.5 P plate btw!
