ABS sensor costs and sourcing

Tips for removing a rear sensor, well IIRC allot of WD40 and small tapping with a heavy object, doesn't always work on the rears mind you, but you might get lucky, though i have a spare front sensor. if you need a front?

Ooh, there is a 10mm retaining bolt that needs removing first as well lol

I'll be down that way in a few weeks when the caravan goes to the New Forest for a few weeks in the school hoildays.

I want (and intend) to retire there

It is a popular holiday area, plenty of places of interest, great scenery, some good beaches etc not to mention it being the retirement capital of England - well worth the trip. . You got a tent, right?

Nope Tes doesnt like tents, but ive got a Citroen Xantia 8)

Yep i'ts definately an ABS sensor, I'd already fitted one on the other side.

Well I removed the rear wheel and guard to expose the sensor, traced the wiring to the top of the swingarm(?) and pulled the connector off it's mounting but could I disconnect the plug?!?!?.... No

It's different to the front ones and I couldn't see how it unclips. I couldn't reseat it on the mounting either so I turned my attention to the sensor in the hope of cleaning it up but the bolt sheared on me

so I gave up again.

I don't know if anyone's aware but I noticed the hub/disc wheel nut holes line up nicely with the sensor allowing the insertion of a thin bit of drift or metal rod to tap out the sensor instead of trying to pull/twist it from the inner side.
