Have you ever changed them? If so how big a job is it? Last MOT the chap advised that the bushes were starting to go and MOT time is coming up again in a couple of months.

As far as I'm aware these are ALL the same (except for the Activa)

I recently did them on my Activa, allowing an hour each side will give you plently of time.

Likewise the rear arm bushes were worn, the new arms have made the Activa feel 'fresh'.

It's not a 'small' job, i did one on my old pug 106, and that took me 2 hours, mainly because some of the joining bolts were 'tired' shall we say. Tip: put some 'plus gas' around all the nut and bolts you will be removing. Have you got a ball joint remover?

I wouldn't say it was a hugely big job or anything. I did a couple on my 309 GTi which was fairly straightforward, just make sure you've got decent/the right tools for the job :)

An hour each side for a competent machanic, that means I'll have to set aside a day and a half.

Looks like I'll have to invest in a decent ball joint splitter then, the only one I have is one I bought years a go for a mini.
