There are other alloys that look a lot like Activa Alloys but the dead giveaway is that the holes are smaller, too small to reach the rear bleed nipples. With Activa wheels, there is no need to remove the rear wheels when bleeding the brakes :D

Problem is; Cornwall isn't on the way to Swansea - or vice versa!!

On rereading the auction - he doesn't list a price for the wheels although the other prices are the high end of the going rate. I did email him a few queries but haven't heard back re: the wheel yet...

THING IS; WE DON'T REALLY WANT TO SEE HIM BREAK IT DO WE!!?

:D Yes, absolutely! We don't :D

The more Activas that survive, the more reason for Citroen to keep Activa specific spares available for us - like Ram Bushes.

I keep an eye on the 'bay for Activa bits so any time I see any wheels going I'll make it known.

He wanted £100 for the set. I didn't mean those wheels, I meant a set off another crashed etc Activa ;)

I do also occasionally go past Swansea on my travels :)

I'll have a set of Activa wheels with two nearly new tyres on them available quite soon if you can wait for me to get the time (and inclination) to dismantle the 'spares' Activa I have.

Activa wheels were listed as a seperate listing on PR.Net but I've not yet found out the definitive answer as to whether they really are stronger or whether it's a case of because they were listed seperately, people presumed they were stronger.

The owner of the Activa on Ebay has just collected the driveshaft, he's apparently going to get the car going and place it up for sale now :D

Glad to hear he collected it. Hopefully he'll get it sorted and sell it complete. Hopefully not to someone who'll break it anyway!!

I'm not in any rush for a set of wheels, but am definitely interested! :)

what Citroen were up to there then. Don't go just by pictures - s2 wheeltrims
look uncannily like Activa alloys too!

I'd fancy one or two Activa rims too, rather than a complete set but they're
strong money - tyres wiuld have to be VERY good for that price...

Andrew
You know, what we should do is buy a complete set and split the cost/set between us ;)
Lee, how many rims do you need - I'm not sure if you're after a set or
singles; only I may need JUST one to replace a crocked one on my new
Activa purchase and these'll usually only get sold as a set.

It'd be sad if we unintentionally bid one another up for any we find if a
mutual agreement could be organised to everyone's benefit at the outset!!

Lee, whereabouts in Cornwall are you? You didn't 'steal' that Xantia estate
genuine Citroen load liner earlier on ebay for 99p did you!? And what on
earth brings you up and over from Cornwall past Swansea!! The rain&wind?

I only need one, as the previous owner took a chunk out of a rim. But I haven't got a problem with splitting a set, it's always handy to have a spare ;)
I do ocassionally pass that way when taking my two girls up to see their mum. She lives in S Wales.

I'm in Redruth, and no, it wasn't me whole stole that boot liner!

Well, it's back:

1996 CITROEN XANTIA ACTIVA TURBO Breaking
Breaking all parts for Xantia 2 litre Turbo Item number: 260118567130
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1996-CITROEN-XANT ... dZViewItem

He's just emailed me offering the car complete for 350quid as someone's
offered 300quid just for the engine. In reality that's more than I want to
spend having just bought two Activas already in the past month...

If someone does buy it for parts, I'd consider buying the engine BUT not
for 300quid...
