parcel shelf straps

My car is an M reg xantia 1.8i dimension. Please could someone tell me how to get the parcel shelf straps back into the holes in the side of the parcel shelf. It looks impossible to me. Thanks all

If its like the ZX pull the plastic plugs through which the cords enter the shelf - out - then you will see that the elastic has perished.

I don't think new ones are very expensive from Citroen.

Don't worry Anders - I was talking rubbish anyway, as the later one is clearly not for Mk11 as I was only looking in the Mk1 section 8) It does kind of suggest though, that the later kind was only available for 1 day? Or were both available for a time, and the factory fitted what ever they wanted.

You are right Richard -

It is kind of strange for which production numbers the different type straps were used. I believe that the PR-net is at (typing) error in the listings.
However the illustrations should guide owners to the parts they need - even if their xantia has a different PR number than from the listings.
