When I pulled the steering wheel from the Xantia I managed to pull apart the slide connector for the airbag. Does anyone have a piccie of how it should be put back together

Buy another one from scrapyard.
I tried to put this thing together and it's very difficult... Although it is possible to put those rings back in the "case", it's very difficult to keep it to stay together (there are some metal clips which hold the two pieces together) and it won't rotate as good as it did before.
If it breaks apart again during driving, it will almost certainly short the wires.
Look at my post: http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/v ... ght=rotary
I can take a picture of an assembled one, if you'd still like to try to asssemble it

Thanks guys,
I did manage to get it back together last night (there is a fiberous washer in it that seperates the '+' and '-' sides). I rotated the steering wheel with the multimeter across the connector and there is no signs of shorting.
However it's now noisy and the air-bag doesn't work
BTW: Mine had no signs of clips are anything to hold it together ... No wonder it came apart so easily !!!
I guess I'm ordering a newie in
seeya,
