Just wondering what are the consequences of exercising the suspension well without the proper wheels? Will the tyres come off?

I can see this simple question is going to start the old "Are Activa alloys stronger than standard Xantia alloys" question....
The tyres won't come off, steel wheels, the car doesn't have enough grip for that to happen, not unless you hit something with your wheel like a curb.
I would imagine that the steel wheels are more narrow than the Activa alloys so they will most probably have narrower tyres too, which just means less grip.
