Another C6 on ebay - one we CAN afford...

http://tinyurl.com/y7heyc

I've got one and it is a VERY GOOD well detailed model.
Put it this way; It's as close as I'm going to get to one for a while!

My local Citroen dealer had a C6 in the last time I went in to get some parts for my C5.

It was Mauritius Blue. I had a good look around it. It looks great until you look at the price. I can't help feeling that they've aimed a little too high at that amount !!

I went to the dealer again yesterday and the C6 was gone. Sold ? who knows ????

cheers Kev

Don't ALL new cars look great until you look at the asking price on them!?
I WILL NEVER buy new - that's because I'm a cheapskate, but don't let me
stop anybody buying new as I need 1st and sometimes 2nd, 3rd and 4th
keepers to 'devalue' the initial asking price...

What else matches or betters the C6 for the same or less then!? Not that
I'm in the market for one? I thought ANYTHING German only started
from £40k+...

Lets be realistic here.. The majority of C6's will be bought/leased as company vehicles!!!!!

Would you buy off an ebay seller with NO FEEDBACK!!
No wonder it's on ebay - It's in the wrong part of the country
possibly not enough 'bling' to appeal to the locals!

Isn't the list price for these nudging 40k - so there's quite a marked
depreciation considering Citroen are on record for saying they'll buy every
one back and aim to hold the supply and therefore values for them as high
as possible in the second hand market?

Don't get me wrong, if we're still allowed to drive in 10 years time and can
actually afford a £15 a litre magnum of DERV I'll be looking for one!

Andrew
i think the base model is around 29K,or at least thats what was said at the CCC meeting in hunttington earlyer in 06,i think if i had that much dosh i would go for a top class DS or rhd SM

Of course - you're right!

For that kind of money you could buy a total minter DS AND an SM!!
10K for the D and the rest for the SM...

and keep a few quid handy to buy a nice CX diesel estate!!

Still think I'd spend the most time in the CX, LESS STRESS ABOUT
MORON 4X4's & idiots in invalid buggies that mow down pensioners...

Our local dealer is selling his C6 demonstrator . . .
It's theV6 Bi-turbo diesel (met. black with beige leather etc) and he's dropping it from £38, 600 to £29,700.

Wow! the DIFFERENCE is exactly twice what I gave for my 1998 XM 2.5TD Break two years ago . . .

However, its a nice machine, have to wait until they've depreciated to an affordable level (say 3 years knowing Cits!)

Latest TopGear mag issue shows the latest update on it's C6 longtermer:

"I came under what felt like a barrage of goodwill; a riot of compliments.
I tell you now, it's very hard to dislike a car when people think you're
just that little bit cooler for driving one"

"You can get optional roof bars for the C6 now. Could this car get more
hip if it had a snowboard or surfboard strapped to the roof? I seriously
doubt it."

"So I've been reading the handbook and have discovered some amazing
things. Next month 'how to raise the rear spoiler using the indicator stalk'."

Nice to see the good'ol Citroen spirit lives on! Very Happy :D

That's jolly nice of Citroën! That nice Mr Ibbett has sent me a voucher
that can be redeemed against the purchase of a new C5 or C6 - seems
I can have £1000 off a C5 or £1500 off a C6 - NOW THAT'S OVER AND
ABOVE ANY OTHER DEAL ON OFFER FROM CITROEN OR A DEALER!!

Cor, that C6 is even nearer being purchased...

Damn, just need to find the other £25+ now it's gotten that bit extra cheaper... :D

Nice mailer too!
