Heated door mirrors

On mine it looks like the rivets that attach the wire terminals to the heater grid are corroded. I was going to attempt to fix it with some of that silver conductive paint around the two rivets.
As far as I remember, if you prize the mirror out with a fair amount of force, the mounting circlip lets go before the mirror brakes :wink:
You need to seperate the mirror glass from the heater to do anything with the heater. They are glued to each other with double sided foam tape so there is some chance of breaking the class in that process anyway :roll:
When I replaced the mirror glass (and didn't fix the mirror heater) I left some of the adhesive backing tape in place to make it easier to seperate the mirror glass from the heater element, but I still havent fixed the heater a couple of years later :oops:
