Replacement keys

Post by AX_Man »

Seeing as I'm having a day on here :)

My AX only has 1 key, which has alarmingly bent slightly. Do you have to go to Citroen for spare keys or can e.g. Timpsons cut ones?

It has no remote control or anything, just the 1 key locks everything and starts the car up.

You should be able to get a copy cut at Timpsons. As far as I remember the AX keys were same as the ZX ones, with no fancy electronics.

The bloke in Timpsons will have a little gadget to check for transponder chips, but I'm 99.99999% sure there won't be one.

The Timpsons key is just fine and only cost £6. I can only guess what a dealer would charge ...

Ask the dealer for a price anyway. You might be pleasantly surprised.
