Hi guys just thougt i'd let you know I've had my var repaired, I took it to a diesel specalist who told me on the phone he was 99% sure it was the injectors so I took it in and the diagnostic showed just that.Apparently it was the cones inside the injectors that were the problem so they replaced them and cleaned the injectors and the car runs fine now. I'm am in the middle of a dispute with the company I bought the car from asking them to pay towards the cost as after taking the car back twice and on the second occasion having my car for 4 days claim there was nothing wrong with it .Bloody car salesmen
So if you have a C5 HDI and the symptoms are the same get the injectors checked
