Sounds good so far let me know how you get on maybe your mate wont be so eager to use his spin gun next time, as its all to easy to over do bolts and shear them off with one of them, now he lost his car for over a week now because of it. They're a handy tool to have if used properly but not so in this case as you had already cracked the bolts up OK by hand. Ive learnt NEVER to over tighten bolts for this reason.
