Getting back to the OP's question: Yes, there's one thing that you've missed.
The Petrol C6 is cheaper to buy than the Diesel one.
Quite a lot cheaper actually. Either £2000 or £2500 cheaper.
With the fuel consumption of each engine being 32.5 mpg and 25.2 mpg
Means you'd have to drive well over 50k miles before the Diesel one actually becomes the cheaper car to own.
So, if you want to buy a C6 as a company car, and are going to get rid of it after 3 years and 40k miles, then the petrol one is the better buy.
If, however, you wanted to keep it as a longer term car, say 5 years and 70k miles, then the Diesel one makes better sense.
At current pump prices.
