CV boot question

Post by Gregg1100 »

Hi,
I have used cable ties with no probs.
I have also used tying wire. 2 circits of wire around the boot and ends nipped up , then cut short. Also called locking wire--used probably before Loctite came along

Used to use that in garages before Ligarex or cable ties were invented.
You can get it from a steel erector on a building site-the people who wire the re-inforcing steel to make cages for the concrete to swill around. Comes both in mild steel wire or stainless.
