For a 19 year old in a car that goes like that £1300 is cheap.
I was telling somebody at work about V6 Xantias and he couldn't believe that somebody who wanted that kind of performance would choose something as understated as the Xantia. To me that would be the whole point of having one.
It would be a terrific car for the Hot Hatch days at Knockhill and maybe educate some of the boyracers.

I've had mine up to 135 but then I got scared, but judging by the way it was still pulling I reckon it would see 150 in the right conditions But I mostly drive round in old codger mode and rarely have the urge to use the performance to the max, it's just nice to know it's there if you want to use it.
I once had a drag race with an Audi 1.8 turbo and just about pulled away from it so that gives an idea of performance when compared to a more modern car.
If you want to surprise people you could always remove the V6 sticky badge on the tail and replace the door badges with 1.9D ones The only tell tale sign then would be the twin tail pipes.
