I have done this mod (RichardW) and can confirm it works well. I began to have the odd intermittant failing of the heater blower but since the mod I have had no more problems. I used a 30A fused relay I had laying around from an old spot light installation. Although there isn't a lot of room left for the extra relay, I managed to fit everything in behind the lower steering column cowl ok.
