It also may be your choice of footwear. If it's completely insulating, then when you step out onto the ground, you aren't grounded, and hence you stay charged, and spark against the grounded car.

I've had this happen in many different cars.

Try: Get out of the car as normal, then touch the ground, then close the car door. You shouldn't get a shock.

Always get a shock when getting out and touching the metal.
Caused by clothes made of synthetic fabric.
Avoiding that by touching the metal with the top of the sleeve first.
It then discharges through the fabric, and you feel it much less.
