Any code you need to tap in on a keyboard on any radio or immobiliser keypad system you may have. Standard precaution note - as I once adviced an owner removing the battery over night - and he then suddenly needed a radio code - not too clever

Yellow Engine Light - Engine Diagnostics

Post by Gregg1100 »

Hi,
After having battery dis-connected overnight, the Imobiliser Keypad settings stay put, radio code does not. Doesn`t make any difference anyway, any faults stored will have to be removed by the magic box+ loads of drinking vouchers
Car passed it`s MOT on Sat. Only cost me the price of MOT :D

Well, got the new part fitted today. Initally left the battery off for about 15 minutes (that's all the job took) and the engine light was still on. Decided to leave the battery off for 2 hours as suggested and it worked. The light is now off, and the job sorted.....

Cost less than £60 including buying the part, and a socket to do the job... much better than the £200 plus quoted from the dealer.

No radio code or anything, so that made the job even easier....
