The size and weight of the car have something to do with it, i.e. a Xantia is heavier than a 306 and will do more damage to anything that you crash it into. Its because its one of them there hydro-whatsit Citroens, gonna cost you a bit to fix that if you crash it....
Its certainly puzzled me but I'm sure its one of the reasons that the Xantia is cheap to buy even if it isn't cheap to insure.
