xantia radio
HI can anyone tell me what the back of a xantia 4030 radio looks like ,as I would like to fit a cd changer and I have the 3030 version. Regards john
Hey John, im afraid you'll have to get in line....ive been after a 4030 (in order to fit a cd stereo and have steering wheel controls) and after 4 months im still no where near to finding one.
At the back it will look like the same as what you have, apart from there will be a round black din connector on the right handside (looking from the back) and i think that long plastic cone wont be there either.

Im guessing he wants a straight Xantia stereo to fit straight in like his original that is currently in (Same as me), the phillips is completly the wrong shape.
The correct unit he requires is a (as mentioned by other members for my chase) is : Blaupunkt 4030 RDS as mentioned on the link provided by samtronic...if you can find one on Ebay (4 months of looking and still no joy) make sure you have a big budget

I seem to remember that the cable to the CD changer connects to two of the retangular connectors on the back of my 4030, which I seem to recall looks like the one here (but I might be wrong):

But I won't pull my radio out to check, sorry...
Next time I have it out I'll take a picture, but that probably won't be any time soon.
You could try to contact Steve at jellybaby; he might be able to help.

Whilst I cannot confirm the wiring connections on Samtronics link, I can confirm that the 4030 stereo does NOT have a round din socket on the back but is as per the photo's shown, three rectangular sockets.
The CD player is designed to sit in the boot, then via a long lead to connect to the rectangular plug under the drivers seat, again as per the photo's shown on the link.
Dare I mention as a tease that I'm holding onto complete set, 4030 radio, lead + CD player as spares.
The big problem with fitting a 4030 set to lower spec Xantia's (ie LX, SX) is that the wiring loom from the set to the CD player under the drivers seat was not fitted at the factory.
