Xantia bad vibrations

Post by FEDAK »

Between 65 to 80 mph my TDI has excessive vibrations that are I cannot pin point as it appears to be central. The wheels have been re-balanced and the front whishbone bushes were replaced some 6 months ago. I can't find any play on the rear wheels either (should I depressurise the hydraulics to check this?)
Any Idea's ???

Warped discs? Big lump of rust/ cack on a hub? Bent driveshaft? Worn wheel bearings causing slight play in the hub? It's got to be something thats rotating out of alignment to behave like that.

Check for rear tyres being distorted (on the tread surface rather than sidewalls). In use that can cause vibration just as stated.
