Citroen cam belt

Post by oilyrag »

My cam belt is ready for a change on my HDI xantia exclusive. There does not appear to be a manual available for the HDI engine. I have changed them on standard xantia diesel engines, is there any difference. Any help would be great.

There's no automatic tensioner on the later engines.

For the correct tension adjustment a special tool is necessary. BTW: it's a very bad job compared to the XUD engines. You have to break your arms, hands and fingers to remove the cambelt cover...
