i aint trying to steal posters from andyspares, but if your having trouble with your 306, then the 306 owners club is great, thats where i get a lot of my fixes.

Locking problems

Hi everyone,
Stop messing with the electronics and wiring, I had the same problem, trying to lock the car it immediately unlocks. What I have found out is that the plastic coverings on the metal rods, used to lock the car from inside, tend to go down deeper after a while, when this happens and you try to lock the doors, this plastic actually pulls the rod up and unlocks the car. That is also the reason for the alarm to go off, it's normal if someone tries to unlock your car with the alarm switched on! So fix the locking latches on the doors and forget the wiring and sensors and other electronic stuff...
