Did the sitting in boot test and it didn't pass.
I guess acc sphere needs changing
Can anyone give me a detailed step by step guide to changing the acc sphere?
I checked on the search but nothing in detail came up

Hi,
Have a look at my last message on this page, and the replies that follow:

And then decide if you want to tackle it yourself.

Is it easy to unscrew the acc sphere, as there doesn't seem to be a lot of room to get in there?
Do i need a special tool?

Yes, although different people use different tools...
The three main approaches seem to be:
1) Truck sized oil filter strap spanner + block hammer (what I use)
2) Chain spanner + block hammer
3) Block hammer and chisel. (I'm not too keen on this method as it damages the sphere in the process, but some people use it [:D] )
Make sure you put the front of the car on wheel stands and depressurize the suspension before attempting to remove the sphere, I found it was necessary to access it from the bottom to be able to get enough swing on the strap spanner, and you'll probably find its a two person job. (One person on the strap/chain spanner, the other person tapping with the hammer)
Anyway, have a read of that thread.
Regards,
Simon
