Hydraulic Pipe End Fitting

Must be a tubular seal there.
And the pipe end must be a straight cut - no flaring.
The pipe is double flared approx 10mm from the pipe end - such the union nut can grip on the pipe circumference.
Exactly as depicted on schematic above.
If you can slide the union nut over and away from the pipe - then the pipe is the wrong type.

citroen dealer is prob right as i have found some xantias do not have usual citroen pipe end,they do have flared end same as brake pipes on non citroen cars regards malcolm

- had no idea the pipe into the regulator could be yet another type.

Both the output pipes on the two output pump on my Dad's 1994 2.0i SX Auto are the large flared type with no seals. We havn't had a reason to remove the other end of the pipes to see what type those ends use however...
