xantia abs

i've finally got round to sorting out my fault on the abs and have found the front nearside sensor is not working, i'm about to order a new one from gsf but have a question, when the ignition is turned on and the abs light comes on it flickers 3 times and then stays on, is this some kind of code saying there is another problem with the control unit or is this normal , i've had the bulb removed for about a year so i can't remember if it always did this. [:)]

thanks for that , it looks as though the light flickering is normal so hopefully replacing the sensor should sort it.
