Richard,
What a wonderful place to get to.. There is a rubber pipe that runs to a part on cam cover, from the sensor ?????
. If that pipe is allowing junk to get down there, thats what could be what is messing it all up, I hope... Will never have a petrol car again.
Thanks,
Greg

Just place a cheap petrol in line filter in the rubber hose to the MAP sensor if fitted this stops all oil fouling. For £1.20 from any motor factors it's worth fitting. If going to clean use brake cleaner as carb cleaner is too harsh. Leave on a radiator over night with a paper towle under neath it to drain any oil out as well.

Hi Richard,
What is it that I am looking for. All I can see is a plasic box affair under inlet manifold, and a plug with a white connector coming from it. It looks like a radiator fan switch thats on the BX, about the same size nut on it too. Is that it ??. Or is it in that box.
Thanks for your help

MAP sensor is bolted to the inlet manifold from the underside, about 10-15 cm from the throttle housing to the left. It's not visible from above

Hi Alexx,
Thanks for that. Seen it yesterday afternoon . Will get it out Sat. The local Cit main dealers have NEVER sold a map sensor---at £86, I hope I`m not the first.
Regards
Greg
