Bad luck!
Is the mother inlaw dealing with it through the Insurance? If so they may do you a favour and write it off! No need to change driveshaft etc then!

Sadly no. Decided to get it sorted myself (want to remain on friendly terms with MIL at least for babysitting duty!)- likely though insurance would write it off as it also has a small crease in the sill too, only saw that in the cold (wet) light of day.
On the plus side she has said she will give me £100 towards it - so driveshaft will be paid for after all[:D]

My favourite Russian joke, about MiLs:
Police Sergeant: What did your mother-in-law die from?
Interviewee: From eating poisonous mushrooms.
Police Sergeant: Why does she have bruises on her wrists?
Interviewee: She didn't want to eat them.
Stay on good terms Marty, it's worth it.

One of my friend's favourites if he ever gets pulled late at night:
"I haven't had a c*nt all night, drinkstable"
Not much to do with mother-in-laws, or indeed AX's, but hey-ho.

1 1/2 Hours.
2 lump hammers
1 block of wood
and a sink plunger.....
Its straighter than it was - at least the window winds down now.

Ah, the advantage of cheap tin metal !!!
A price to pay for superb economy and quite a good turn of speed is bodywork that will dent in a 10mph breeze !
Stick with it, Marty, I am despite a few problems and little money to sort them...
