re: Suspension (As usual ;-))

Post by crws »

I've just recently overhauled the suspension which in itself should of been an easy job if it was not for the fact that the owner of the xantia before me thought it might be nice not to use rubber washers, hence the spehere's had seized solid as they were metal on metal, but less of my winging. The suspension is now a lot better than it was, however the back end still does not seem very cushioned if anything still a little rough, could this be air that has been introduced by the fact i have taken the sphere's off and put new ones in.. Bear in mind when i say overhauled i mean i have replaced 4 suspension sphere's along with 1 anti sink and an accumulator.

Have you run it through the full height range, bottom to top and back again a few times- this may help.
It could also be that the LHM is a bit dirty as well, has it been changed that you know of?
