if the main stereo head unit is a standard unit and the cd changer is from another xantia it will fit!.depending on the age of the car the main cd changer cable is under the drivers seat, tucked under the carpet.you should be able to buy an adapter to join the to units together from a good I.C.E specialist[:)]

Yes the radio is original, an no cables under the seat!
it appears that there was a change after 2000 and of course this appears to be a later one!

I tried to find a cd changer for my Clarion to no avail, so fitted a head/changer combo package. The changers are quite hard to get by all accounts, so if I were you I'd try to get a late head unit and keep the changer.
When I finally removed my head unit I found there weren't actually any cd inputs anyway *embarassed* so don't be so ungrateful

Just in case your interested i have just pulled out a xantia radio from my 2000 hdi - some bright spark replaced it with an earlier model - its got the CD button but as far as i can see my Xant never had the CD fitted (either that or everything was removed and an older radio fitted) Rad / cass etc all fine, just fitted a sony in dash mp3 / cd player. - will get it out of (dry) shed tomorrow and tell you what fitting is on back.
