the wheel bolts dont hold on the trims, the trims hold onto the bolts. Imagine my anger when after years of taking a wheel off, then carefully holding the wheel and trim carefully in alignment then putting the bolt on (requiring 3 hands) i found you could put the bolts on naturally then smack the trim on after!
For years i perfected the balancing trick, and i was not happy to be shown you didnt need to

That's a fine distiction Vanny! And I was always aware of the fact that the trims went on afterwards with a firm push - every time I went for new tyres I told the fitter this as they did the balancing trick and all almost invariably replied that they had been doing the balancing trick for years also!
