A/C Fans and Glove Box Removal

Post by lozian »

Hi All,
Some info to maybe save you some head scratching. Xantia petrol 1.9i 16v LX 1997 with A/C.
Air con fans, at front of radiator, with philips head screws in centre of fan. For removal of fans - screws are left hand thread.
Glove box removal requires unsticking and removal of cloth base in glovebox. This then will allow access through 2 large holes, to 2 torx screws beside hinges of glove box. This is after removal of all other obvious screws. Glove box will then fall off. Had me going this one.
Replaced blown bulbs in speedo instrument cluster. Bulbs are small push in capless, available from Andyspares. Steering wheel has got to come off as far as I can see. Air bag removal was easy enough, but follow the recommendations, and do not touch for at least 10 mins. after disconnecting battery. Be sensible and do not take any chances with this item. 2 large torx screws (27) underneath wheel will release air bag. Connector is a straight pull off.
Hope this helps someone.
