ABS basic info needed.

Post by alan s »

We recently bought a BX 16V series one that had been on fire (petrol fire) under the bonnet.
As you can imagine, this does not do all that much good for the wiring and associated bits & pieces that reside there. It didn't take all that long to get the car up & running quite reliably with most things going as they should, however, the owner, my #1 son has decided in his widom to enter the car in a sprint (racing) series in a couple of weeks. The car is a surprise packet out here as we suspect it is the only one in the country, however as a former competitive driver & having a bit of an idea the layout of the first track he will be on, it is desireable to have the ABS operative. I've given this preamble so the problems can be seen; only one around, nothing to compare with and need the ABS for safety & inexperience reasons. Now! here's the problem.
When the key is turned on, the ABS is stone motherless dead; no lights, no relays clicking nothing.
Where do we start? Which fuse controls it, where do we find the relay and is there any particular route that the wires take to its ECU?
Any or all clues gratefully accepted.
I can see it's going to be a big week<img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle>
