Wet Saxo

Post by JohnD »

We've recently got a 1998 Saxo and I notice that after heavy rain there's a small amount of water in the footwell, below the steering-wheel. Anybody know if it's a common fault, and anybody know how it's getting in?

one common problem is water coming in through the heater blower motor, remove scuttle panel & check for blokages at intake then remove gauze & seal up halfway on it

Thanks! but shortly after I posted this message, I realised that the Saxo had been fitted with a replacement screen. Rain water was leaking in along the bottom edge. A drop of sealer cured it.
