Peugeot partner 1.6 blue hdi c1391 and warning light ⚠️

Post by Mjwthomas »

Hi all, wondering if anyone can help with a few trouble codes and dash warning light.
It's an 18 peugeot partner 1.6 bluehdi with 120k on the clock.
It's due a service. A red or dark Amber warning light came on the dash and I've scanned for faults and received the following:

C1391(00) [0x539100] Archive (inactive)
Status: Test failed since last DTC clear
----------------------------
U1108(87) [0xD10887] Archive (inactive)
Status: Test failed since last DTC clear
----------------------------
U1208(81) [0xD20881] Archive (inactive)
Loss of serial communications for class 2 devices
Status: Test failed since last DTC clear

If anyone has any ideas that would be great. Due to drive around 500 miles this week before its service on Friday. Is it ok to drive?

That's not showing any active codes... You might need to get get a better scanner on it. Any other messages? Have you checked the tyre pressures?

Hi, apologies for the late response, I forgot to subscribe to post responses (thought it did it automatically when creating a topic).

Not checked the tyre pressures but I will do.
From a quick search on the Internet I've seen the codes relate to communication issues between the ecu and abs modules and someone had issues with their cv boots that needed replacing when they got similar codes. I've also seen an egr fault throw the codes up which someone said was down to faulty programming.
Unfortunately I can't get it in with a Peugeot specialist until backend of this week or sometime next week.
I'm using a veepeak dongle with car scanner Pro app and also used the fap app to check emissions stats which all looked OK. Unfortunately don't have access to any more advanced diagnostics. Are there any you would recommend that don't cost the earth?

I missed that it's due a service, it may simply be that the warning is that it is due a service. As above, none of those codes are current - they are history codes. What does it say in the manual about the service warning?

I see now that the dtc codes say inactive so I'll get them cleared.

I'm thinking the same thing re the service, the guy who drives the van for our company said the spanner light came on for a while (few thousand miles roughly) then went off and now the triangle is on aswell so I'm tipping it's overdue.
Manual typically isn't that helpful as it doesn't seem to be describing exactly what we're seeing but is vaguely pointing in the direction of service overdue.
I'll have a good look tomorrow.

Just seen a few different YouTube videos on how to reset service indicators and sure enough it's the service overdue. Looks like on 2015/16 and older models it only shows the spanner but on later models it's shows both the spanner and warning triangle when overdue.

Typical manual, clear as mud, YouTube clears it up in a few minutes. Apologies, I should've tried YouTube first but then again this post might help someone else.

Thanks for responding.
