Hiya,
The unions in your last picture look correct for my C5 divider to rear right wheel strut pipe. Citroen part no is 5270 QA.
I'd be really interested in buying an assembled one - or if that is 3/16 copper pipe, just 2 sets of unions, seals etc would work.
Please let me know...

Hi, I have a C5 2004 model ( old front). The right rear side suspension pipe has burst, can I get a replacement? All garages I have contacted have said I must scrap it. It seems such a waste.
Thanks for any help.

Contact Chevronics in Hitchin tel: 01462 455280 and they may be able to help. Failing that try BL Autos tel: 01707 327555 in Welwyn Garden City who to my knowledge do have a selection of older pipes. I am sure there are other specialists around and if you look on our forum list of recommended garages you may find one closer to you. Good luck :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Spoke to James at Chevronics yesterday- he had a dig round, they now have 3 5270 QA pipes listed (I bought the 4th one) so thanks for the top tip @mickthemaverick :)

Hi Svod
Are you still manufacturing the C5 X7 rear hydraulic pipes?
My part number is 5270QS which is a solid pipe - is your flexible pipe a direct replacement for this?
If so how much including shipping to the UK.
Thanks, Mark

Svod wrote: 28 Mar 2023, 15:11 Hi everyone,
Two years ago I was forced to change rear hydraulic pipes on my ’09 x7 2.2HDi cause one of them leaks. Whereas the pipes was unavailable to buy here I decided to create substitute from original. I was working on it with my colleague. We tested almost 10 pairs during last year and half and we can now manufacture them for C5 X7
Citroen numbers for them are:
- 5270VG C5 X7 right
- 5270VF C5 X7 left
Tubes are similar to original, except they are not made form zinc steel, but from stainless to ensure long life. Next difference is that they are separable to 3 pcs (1st one is stainless steel pipe, 2nd one is rubber hose, 3rd one is stainless upper part which is connected to rear hydraulic piston). Rubber hose is certified for use with more than 300 Bar pressure, but even if somewhere in future hose starts to leak, it is possible to change only the hose. Not whole pipe.
We want to make first larger batch and to specify the price I’m curious if some of you want to buy those for your C’s.
Let me know if you are interested or if you have any questions.

Hi svod, good work, congratulations.
I don’t suppose you might consider re manufacturing the steering pipes at all. They come up in the forums time and time again and are no longer available or manufactured by Citroen, I certainly would buy a set or two if they were available.
Thanks
