Configuration Issue

Hi,

could you please tell me what the purpose of the FAKRA connectors "a" (gray), "b" (blue) and "e" (white) are?
It looks like my Berlingo is missing the wiring for connector "a". I also have a lot of issues with the latest firmware, GPS always gives me dates in the future (year 2199), also RDS is not working properly. It always shows a text with says, you are listing to radio station "Text of song or number of phone book".

When the device is exchanged by a RNEG 2, must the display also be changed?

I've moved your post into a separate thread as the previous thread was talking about an RNEG (MyWay) system and you are talking about RNEG2 (eMyWay / RT6) which are 2 entirely different units.

It might help and save time if you explain what you have done first of all. From your post I am assuming you have replaced the factory fitted Head Unit and replaced it with a different system.

Well depending on what you had fitted, of course it is not going to work if you simply swap the unit.
It has to be coded to the vehicle and certain BSI options must be configured correctly, and possibly the Multifunction Display Screen and even the instrument panel ECU.

So may I suggest before you start worrying about what the Fakra connectors are, that you tell us what system you had fitted at the factory (the VIN would be preferable) and what exact system you have installed?

thats a miss understanding. I have a RNEG (Berlingo II 2012) unit not a RNEG2!

I actually just release the unit from the slot and wonder why there is no wire for the gray FAKRA connector. So if someone does have some information for what these connectors are, would help me determine if my unit misses something.

As you can see the gray connector is not connected

So any information on the purpose?

Ok so as you were asking a question about RNEG2 that's why, and yes if you replace the MyWay (RNEG) with RT6 / eMyWay / RNEG2, then you will have to replace the screen for a High Definition version that is compatible, plus it will need VIN coding and possibly some other configuration for your vehicle. Also the Diversity function won't work on the RT6 as you don't have an FM2 aerial.

As for the grey FAKRA at the top corner, ignore it you don't have FM2 and it is not used.

Blue is for GPS
The FAKRA under the blank Grey Fakra is for FM1 / AM
