Hi there,
I telecoded my VIN number to a 2sd hand SMEG I bought to replace my malfunctioning one.
The telecoding seems to have worked has the annoying "security" bip disappeared.
Problem is that now the SMEG is rebooting in a loop after a few seconds of being on ...
I've tried recoding the oroginal VIN of the SMEG. It worked, bip has returned, SMEG still rebooting ...
Something must have gone wrong during the telecoding but I don't know how to restore the SMEG
to a functionning state.
Any idea ?

I think you may need to reinstall the firmware.

Re: SMEG reboot loop after telecoding
I though of that but with the SMEG rebooting every 60s I think its a lost cause ... I'll try anyway.
PS : tried it. Did not work. The SMEG reboots during the "media verification" phase

Re: SMEG reboot loop after telecoding
Problem solved ! By formatting the GPS maps SD card.
I suspect the maps when installed are associated to the VIN or something like that.
That does not explain why when I've tried to go back to the original VIN the SMEG was
still rebooting. Any way. Problem solved. Just have to reinstall the maps on the empty
SD card.
