RT3 replacement

This is the RT3 unit and was made by Magneti Marelli
The RT3 was available in a few different hardware versions, the later ones supporting MP3 playback. These units had an optical connection to the Display Screen.

RT3 replacement

Post by Elnes »

Hi,

I saw there was a similar post here, but as my unit is a different model I ask the same question in hope of a different answer.

I have a broken head unit that needs replacement. Do I need to get the exact same model (96640242YP), or are there other alternatives that will do the job? Please see the attached picture.

Thanks in advance!

You need the same unit reference as there are different variations for the different electrical architectures used on different vehicles / years.
Some units are VAN based and some are CAN based. You must have the correct version for the car.
